Wrestling veteran John Cena is currently in the final year old his in-ring career. His last match is going to take place on Saturday, December 13, 2025, against Gunther at Saturday Night’s Main Event XLII. This event will happen at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.
Cena has millions of fans worldwide. He is one of the greatest of all time, and fans are going to miss him dearly once he hangs up his boots. He is deeply respected by his peers, and he has many friends in the industry. The 48-year-old is friends with AEW ring announcer Justin Roberts.
A few hours back, Roberts paid a heartfelt tribute to the legend on Instagram. The former WWE personality showered the Cenation leader with praise and wrote that even though Cena is retiring from wrestling, he is going to continue being a real-life superhero.

“He was on every house show, every tv, every ppv and every appearance. While giving all of his time to appear live and on tv-he still somehow made time to be there for every fan he could meet and anyone he could help using his superpowers,”
He continued,
“John Cena the wrestler is retiring, however John Cena the actor and John Cena the human will continue to do what he has always done..entertain and most importantly- continue to be a real life superhero,” he wrote.
