Jackie Chan looks active, happy, and in good spirits in his most recent social media post before the recent death hoax.
The latest controversy began on Monday, November 10, when AI-generated images of the Karate Kid star lying in a hospital bed started circulating online, causing confusion and concern among fans.
Some of the posts falsely claimed confirmation from his wife and daughter, alleging, “Jackie Chan, 71, passes away after a battle with complications from decades of on-set injuries.”
Fans, eager for clarity, turned to the Rush Hour actor’s official Facebook and Instagram accounts, only to find his last post was from four weeks ago.
On October 11, the Hong Kong martial artist and actor shared a carousel of photos from the NBA China Games in Macao, featuring Shaquille O’Neal, David Beckham, and Yao Ming.
The images captured at The Venetian Arena around October 10, showed the stark and hilarious height differences among the four legends.
The series of adorable photos were accompanied with a playful caption. “Ha ha! Long time no see! [smiley face] 哈哈,好久不見!” Chan wrote in Chinese and English.
